Scope of Work

  • You will be trained to work in our ILC (Integrated Learning Center) as a tutor, and as a teacher assistant in our classes.
  • You will tutor/support individual students, and work with small groups on various high school subjects including: English, Science, Math and History. We will try to use you in the subject that you are most comfortable in but you must be willing/able to tutor or support teachers in all academic core areas.
  • You will support our students in post-secondary readiness.

Assistant Bookkeeper

Small two-person office, located on the east side, needs a person with demonstrated abilities as a hands on Assistant Bookkeeper with Administrative Assistant abilities. We are looking for a lifelong learner with an interest in developing existing knowledge and skills in a professional back office.

Must be truly detail oriented, and a multitasker with a “get the job done” attitude. Filing and data entry are essential duties but opportunities to participate in account review, reconciliation and analysis start the first day, up to your abilities.

We are a well-established multiple business environment, and this position will inter-act with outside auditors, tax CPAs and clients providing all back office services including interim and EOY GL and financials, Human Resources, Insurance, all Fixed assets schedules, in house Payroll, AP/AR and Budgets and Projections.

Your job description and wage will depend on your level of experience and skills. Company participation in continued education and health insurance and other benefits are a part of the package.

Facilities Maintenance

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
  • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
  • Install appliances and equipment
  • Do campus grounds upkeep
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
  • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
  • Report to facilities or maintenance manager for issues

                  Requirements

                  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
                  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
                  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
                  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
                  • Physical stamina and dexterity
                  • High school diploma or equivalent
