2023 Graduation Information

Rehearsal

IMPORTANT REHEARSAL INFORMATION

  • Rehearsal is mandatory for all graduating students participating in the ceremony.
  • If graduates do not participate in rehearsal, you will not be able to participate in the Contactless Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, May 25th.
  • If, for any reason, you are unable to attend rehearsal, please contact the front office at least 24 hours prior to rehearsal @ (520) 296-4070.
  • Graduates will receive their cap and gown during rehearsal.
    • Cap & Gown may be purchased for $30
    • Payment options include cash or credit/debit card. For your convenience, payment for graduation cap & gown may be made at CHS front office any time before graduation.
  • Any student who has not completed their coursework by Friday, May 19th will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.  Please contact the front office if you have any questions or concerns (520) 296-4070.

Graduation Ceremony

When: Thursday, May 25th @ 8:00pm

Students must report no later than 6:45pm
*Understand that you should be prompt to the reporting time of 7pm or you will be restricted from participating in the Graduation Ceremony.

Graduation Tickets

Tickets will be provided to graduates at rehearsal.
Entrance Starts @ 7:15pm
*Those who do not have a ticket can gain general courtyard admission @ 7:45pm

Graduation Guidelines

Prohibited Items:

  • Air horns or large or oversized umbrellas
  • Silly string or powder poppers
  • Balloons or inflatable items, such as beach balls
  • Poles, monopods, tripods
  • Weapons: guns, ammunition, knives, box cutters
  • Leatherman or similar tools
  • Sharp and/or pointed objects (scissors, knitting needles, etc.)
  • Mace, pepper spray, Spray containers, aerosols, or flammable liquids
  • Explosives, fireworks, laser lights, laser pointers
  • Unopened packages or signs with sticks or on poles
  • Coolers
  • Hoverboards, segways, scooters, roller skates, skateboards, bicycles
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles, such as drones

Please note:

  • Service animals are permitted in all venues. If a dog is not trained to perform specific tasks related to a disability and only provides comfort or emotional support, it will not be permitted.
  • The student seating area is restricted to properly credentialed individuals and graduating students only.
  • It is unlawful for a person to consume spirituous liquor or tobacco products on a public school campus. Compass High School prohibits the use of spirituous liquor or products that contain tobacco or nicotine. These products include cigarettes, cigars, pipes, electronic smoking devices (such as e-cigarettes), bidis, kreteks, hookahs, water pipes, and all forms of smokeless tobacco.
  • Should guests experience any discomfort due to the actions of others, please report the incident to a ceremony volunteer or security guard.
